At Grace Shannon Wellness, our mission has always been to help families grow with intention, grace, and emotional safety. We are thrilled and excited to expand our services — providing a suite of Child & Youth Coaching offerings designed specifically for children and teenagers ages 5–17.
Every child deserves the tools to navigate their emotions, build meaningful friendships, and thrive at home and school. Our Child & Youth Coaching services offer warm, psychology-informed coaching support that meets children exactly where they are — delivered in a safe, nurturing environment. And for parents, we haven't forgotten you either. These programs are built as a partnership, because lasting change happens when families grow together.
Why Child & Youth Coaching?
Children today face a complex world — managing big feelings, navigating social pressures, handling conflict with siblings, and trying to meet expectations at school and at home. Without the right tools, these everyday challenges can escalate into patterns of behavior that hold children back from reaching their full potential.
Our Child & Youth Coaching is not therapy or counseling — it is a non-clinical, psychology-informed coaching service. We work alongside children and parents to build practical, actionable skills that create real, measurable change in everyday life.
Our New Child & Youth Coaching Services
1. Child Behavior Coaching
Is your child struggling with emotional outbursts, impulsivity, or difficulty following directions at school? Our Child Behavior Coaching sessions provide support for these very challenges using warm, evidence-informed strategies. Children walk away with practical tools they can use immediately — at home and in the classroom.
2. Youth Emotional Regulation Coaching
Big feelings can feel overwhelming for children who haven't yet developed the language or strategies to manage them. In this coaching session, children learn to identify their emotions, understand how feelings show up in their body, and build their very own personalized Calm-Down Toolbox — a set of strategies they can reach for anytime.
3. Social Skills & Peer Relationship Coaching
Making friends, navigating peer conflict, setting healthy boundaries — these are skills that don't always come naturally, but they can absolutely be learned. In Social Skills & Peer Relationship Coaching, children practice empathy, learn I-Statements, and develop the confidence and tools to navigate peer relationships with grace and self-assurance.
4. Sibling Conflict Coaching
Sibling conflict is one of the most common and exhausting challenges families face. Through joint or alternating sessions, we help siblings communicate respectfully, reduce arguments, and build genuine cooperation. Sessions focus on communication tools, conflict resolution strategies, and healthy emotional expression.
5. Parent–Child Relationship Coaching
Sometimes the most powerful growth happens when parent and child work together. Parent–Child Relationship Coaching brings both into the conversation — improving communication, reducing tension, and building a stronger, more harmonious connection. Parents and children both leave with a better understanding of one another and practical tools to transform daily interactions.
6. Parent Strategy Session
Parents are a child's most powerful influence. The Parent Strategy Session is a parent-only session designed to review your child's progress, strengthen consistency at home, and equip you with new practical tools. It helps parents become an active, confident partner in their child's emotional and behavioral growth.
Coaching Packages — For Lasting Change
Real, lasting change takes time and consistency. That's why we also offer multi-session packages that provide children with the structured support they need to build and reinforce new skills:
Faith-Integrated Coaching — An Optional Add-On
For families who value faith as a foundation for growth, we offer an optional Faith-Integrated Coaching as an add-on to your session. Prayer, spiritual grounding, and faith-aligned guidance can be thoughtfully woven into any coaching session — honoring the whole child and the values your family holds dear.
